Northern Illinois University's Department of Communication offers a Master of Arts degree in communication studies. Graduate course work is available in communication theory, media studies, rhetorical studies, and journalism. Students may focus their studies in one of these areas or in combination. In consultation with faculty advisers, students may design individualized programs of study suited to their academic needs and interests.
